Series 2 OCTAL

Recently OddWatt has come across some excellent NOS 12SL7GT octal dual triode driver tubes. Dated from 1944 and built to military specs and unrivalled matching between sections we just had to give them an amp to call home. We have replaced the ODDBLOCK Series 2 which was using a NOS 5751 driver tube with the ODDBLOCK Series 2 OCTAL which features the 12SL7GT. Sharing most of the ODDBLOCK’s highly regarded schematic design, specs and physical appearance, the OBS2 OCTAL will be an excellent fit for all you OCTAL fans !!!

The ODDBLOCK Series 2 OCTAL is a mono –block (single channel ) power amplifier kit operating in pure class “A “ mode with power ranging from 15 to 25 watts. They are designed to operate using a pair of vacuum tubes from the EL34 or KT88 tube families with one NOS 12SL7 driver tube. Two kits are required for stereo ( two channel ) operation.

Series 1

The PODDWATT is a stereo ( two channel ) integrated amplifier kit operating in pure class “A” mode. The PODDWATT produces 5 watts per channel. Designed to be used with EL84, 6BQ5 power tubes with two EL84’s and one 5751 driver tube required for each channel. PODDWATT does not require the use of a pre-amp but can be used in conjunction with one. PODDWATT features an ALPS volume control pot, three position source selector switch and a 3.5mm input jack on the front face plate to be used with MP3 style source inputs. PODDWATT also featuring stereo sub-woofer outputs to easily add another dimension of sound.

PreAmp

The FOREWATT is a stereo (two channel) line stage pre-amplifier kit utilizing a single JJECC802-S vacuum tube and inverting SRPP driver stage per channel capable of producing in excess of 20 volts into 50k ohms with a voltage gain of 7. FOREWATT features an inverting ”ACTIVE” and non-inverting totally passive mode controlled by a switch on the back of the chassis. FOREWATT also features an ALPS volume control pot and a three position source selector switch with RCA jacks also located on the back of the chassis. Designed with our ODDBLOCK’s in mind, they and the FOREWATT are an excellent pairing.

ODDBLOCK HO Series

The ODDBLOCK HO Series 1 are a mono –block (single channel ) power amplifier kit operating in pure class “A “ mode capable of producing 45 watts @ less than 2% THD with a maximum output of 55 watts. They are designed to operate using a pair of KT120 vacuum power/output for maximum output but are capable of running power/output tubes from KT88 tube families with one NOS 12SL7 driver tube. Two kits are required for stereo ( two channel ) operation.
